Fit and Healthy Current Programs:


You Can! Walking and Nutrition Programs:

You Can! is a simple twelve week nutrition and walking program designed for new or existing groups or work sites. The program operates under the premise that even small changes in diet and physical activity can make a difference in health.

You Can! focuses on improving eating habits by offering simple recipes and tips. You Can! uses step counters to inspire people to start walking and gradually increase their steps. Success in the program is measured by increased steps and a more positive attitude toward exercise.

The Fit and Healthy Coalition provides program materials including step counters, and training for your group facilitator.

The You Can! program is funded by a grant from the Vermont Blueprint for Health.

The NVRH Wellness Calendar promotes healthy lifestyle in the community. Each calendar features dozens of healthful activities and programs, plus a comprehensive list of area support groups.
